The owners wanted to create a truly elegant and sophisticated family home. In such contemporary spaces attention to detail is essential, as errors cannot be hidden behind ornamentation. Luxury is not about marble floors and ornate gilding – the use of quiet and authentic materials, such as concrete for the underground carpark, and well-executed detailing (such as completely frameless glazing), creates a feeling of effortless elegance.
The use of extensive natural light and materials – such as cladding the ground floor of the exterior in limestone – adds warmth and depth. Afterall, this design-lead building is still a family home at heart.
A separate teenagers’ annexe ensures everyone has the privacy they crave, while the open plan living space with space uninterrupted views of the garden forms the hub of family life
